I had to skip (again) for kid’s orchestra practice, but I did get to run on this nice track! 6mi run: easy 2mi warmup + 6×20s strides + 5×200m laps + cooldown. Feeling the world is a wonderful place!

Oh, and my VO2Max reached a new high today too -- 53!

      Skipped today’s , and shadow-ran with my daughter in the community 5K race. It's her first race coming back to the school cross-country team after *two* years in recovery from her running injury. She did quite well in the first mile, but ran out of steam after finishing the first 2 miles. But this was only the first week, and i know she will outrun me in no time!

      I did manage to sprint a bit at the end -- 4'28"/mi -- my fastest stride ever! 🙂

      (half marathon race next Monday!)

                Letzten Samstag bin ich eine neue Jahresbestzeit beim Neckarau gelaufen. Der eine oder andere Leser wird dabei spontan an den Sack Reis denken, der in China umgefallen ist. Das ist verständlich und ich nehme das auch niemandem übel, der das so sieht. Zumal die gelaufene Zeit von 28:05 Minuten alles andere als gut ist. Für mich persönlich hat eine neue Jahresbestzeit beim Parkrun aber schon eine Bedeutung.

                          Busy morning😃Run to ParkRun on my own. Met up with my wife and son. We all did ParkRun. I jogged round with my son for his PB (out of 2 attempts so far) and my wife came 4th in her age category and 20th woman overall. Then I ran home by which time it was **even hotter**☀️+🏃‍♂️=🫠

                                    I started pretty much by accident - the story's here: leroux.ca/the-serendipitous-ru

                                    TLDR: I was a distance walker, met up with friend who suggested I start running with her, and 19,600KM+ later, here I am.

                                    I've always been fascinated by the stories of how people have started running, and it occurred to me to ask generally here.
