Also a little bit sad, that the block is over. I really enjoyed the “training consistency” (planing and doing the work).

A short run with 128m of elevation.
I will try the half marathon distance on Sunday. The weather should be on my side with a max temperature of 18°C for the day and 12-14°C in the morning at the time I usually go out. 🤞🏃♀️
Easy morning run with my OBT backpack: 6kg of stuff + 1.5l water = 7.5kg.
I still need to add some smaller stuff and all the food for one section, and maybe some extra water.

Week 24, run 1/3
I saw some weird floating equipment in the river, maybe water tchoukball goal posts?
This should be my last week of training. I'll take it easy on Friday with a short run and then attempt the 21.1 km distance in Sunday.
I'm 100% zen about it and if I can't make it, I will try the week after and the one after that. My main point has always been exercising for health's sake, not chasing particular numbers.
I'm back! (Tentatively)
Knee pain turned out to be a small tear at the lower attachment point of my ITB. The only remedy is to rest (which I did) and to build up more strength in all muscles around it (which I'm doing).
I've been riding my MTB in stead of running, but from now on I can run again, without exaggeration.

Meine Beine waren schwer und Garmin empfahl mir einen Ruhetag. Unter diesen Bedingungen machte ich mich auf nach Potsdam und starte meinen Lauf 🏃🏻♂️ am dortigen Hauptbahnhof.
Es ging durch die City und den Schlosspark Sanssoucci sowie über die Freundschaftsinsel.
Was ich da gesehen habe, hat mich so begeistert 👍👍👍 dass ich meine schweren Beine kaum wahrgenommen habe 🤷♂️😊
Nur die feuchtwarme Luft war eine echte Herausforderung 🥵

And it gives you confidence especially when included in a longer run e.g., 60 min easy pace, 30 min marathon pace and 15 min threshold pace. The last 15 min are really hard but it's good for your head. 😉

Großes Glück mit dem Wetter gestern beim Vennlauf in Monschau: Auf dem Weg dorthin gab es schon heftige Schauern, bei Ankunft schien aber wieder schon die Sonne und es hatte sich abgekühlt.
Der Lauf selbst war für mich anstrengend, die relativ langen (für Eifel-Verhältnisse aber wohl moderaten) Anstiege haben eltiche Gehpausen erzwungen. Insgesamt waren es dann für die gut 21,5 km 2:25:04 (oder 6:46 min/km).
I was a little bit afraid how my 3 hours (25k) run from two days ago would influence my lon run today.
To make it short: Legs felt quite good all the time, although, after 35km they finally got tired. But all in all it was a quite good run

Und dann kam der Rückweg vom Strandbad Wannsee nach Berlin-Grunewald 😬 Ich war nach den ganzen Läufen fix und alle. Da hat auch keine dreistündige Pause mit Bratwurst/Kartoffelsalat und jede Menge Apfelschorle geholfen 🤷♂️

Teil 1 der Tour war Sightseeing at his best. Viele prachtvolle Schlösser und Häuser, umgeben von einer wunderschönen und sehr gepflegten Landschaft.
Teil 2 war Trailrunning at his best. Über viele schmale und ruhige Pfade bis zum Wannsee.
Das war ein Lauf, den ich gerne irgendwann nochmal machen möchte 👍🤗🙏

Week 23, run 2/3
Today I stayed on #bicipolitana n.3, also called "sentiero Laudato Sì del Foglia", because it runs alongside the Foglia river. This #bikeLane isn't as scenic as the ones I posted so far, but it's less crowded. I arrived at the #Palasport and then came back.
This is our last full day of vacation, tomorrow we will fly back home. Beach 🏖️ and cinema 📽️ are on the menu for today.
Diesen schicken Graureier konnte ich gestern bei meinem wöchentlichen Mittwoch-Lauf fotografieren. Ich konnte bis auf wenige Meter heran bevor er angeflogen ist. Seien Spannweite der Flügel hat mich beeindruckt. Ich schätze fast 2 Meter.
Achja, und gelaufen bin ich auch
Wer zum Wannsee hinläuft, muss irgendwann auch zurück 🤷♂️🙂
Und so ging es nach drei Stunden Sonnenbaden und gestärkt mit Pommes/Currywurst + 2 Cola wieder in Richtung Grunewald.
Da der Hinweg richtig Körner gekostet hat, war der Rückweg - obwohl einfacher - eine echte Herausforderung 😬
Aber am Ende ist man doch stolz, es geschafft zu haben 👍👍
Am Samstag geht es dann nach Potsdam 🤗

Von Berlin-Grunewald zum Wannsee 🏃🏻♂️
Was der nette Auftakt einer Serie von 5 Läufen bis Sonntag sein sollte, war am Ende eine absolute Herausforderung.
Es ging ständig rauf und runter, überall ragten Wurzel und Steine raus und der Boden war oft sehr sandig.
Einzeln betrachtet ein sehr spannender Lauf 👍👍👍
Aber er hat echt zu viele Körner 😬 wahrscheinlich auch, weil ich zum ersten Mal eine voll beladene Laufweste anhatte.
I read an article which reminded me that an HR of 60-70% is ideal for longer runs. So pace today morning was a result from 69% HRMax. Felt quite good ... I hope I dont forget this from time to time.

This was my third day of #running in a row. My legs were a bit heavy at first, but then it was OK. Also because I've lost 4 kg since the beginning of April. So, I'm back to a BMI of 22.5. I can only encourage any runner with a few extra kilos to lose weight. It's so much more fun, and it feels so much better.
