Run: Distance: 7.7km, Elevation Gain: 105m, Moving Time: 00:45:06, Pace: 5:53/km, Estimated Avg Power: 202.3 (from power meter), Weighted Avg Power: 198
I put my race ticket up for sale for Cold Hawaii Ultra 2025 - 50 miles 😭
I am not fully recovered from Mors 100 Miles yet. And this 50 miler is already on Saturday. And with Kullamannen by UTMB in ~6 weeks I believe this choice is my best solution.
I hope to recover well and fully from Mors soon(ish) and *then* finish strong with a good block of specialized training for Kullamannen.
(Mors was not planned originally so it conflicted with Cold here 😅)

✅ 11K Run
Second (and last) run for the week. The run went ok. Power is slowly returning (although very far from normal). Niggles around knees “moved around” >> excellent 😎 (better than one or more specific issue points). Was pretty exhausted afterwards which says a lot about my overall state (that I’m in full blown recovery ❤️🩹 mode still).

I got in a nice 7km run tonight, feeling better after having had a cold. Did the first 30 min or so in HR zone 2, then got irritated with the pace and decided to go a little faster for the last half hour. That might be the plan going forward. I believe in the expanded fitness levels that zone 2 builds, but it suuuucks!
Dedicating this run to my friend @Lee6, wishing him and his family strength and hoping his dad has a rapid and full recovery from his stroke. 🙏 ❤️
I ran a backyard ultra last night. Got to 15 laps or 100km. Woohoo 🎉🎉 More than happy since my trainingblock was virtually nonexistant. My legs (especially one) are toast. Now I've cot to carry my gear back to the trainstation and then back home. The fun ensues!

6K Run 🏃🏻♂️
Tried my new Garmin Enduro 3 which I got today. My Forerunner 955 is ok still but it had 9% battery after Mors. That was the trigger! I want a watch with an abundance of battery for my longer ultras 🤠.
Watch aside: knee caps still broken. The short run today even triggered a little left calf muscle strain (as in super mild… but there). So I’m for sure NOT recovered at all after the 100 miler 😂. Pretty rough recovery needs this time 😀…
#laufen 25-077 10,4km 0:58h - neue amiga sprechstunde, direkt ins ohr damit.

Early morning run. I had to wake up at a ridiculous hour (04:00) because I had to be back home at 06:15 to bring my eldest son to the train station for the hike he has planned with a couple of friends for the next few days.
The forecast being rain, I started with my jacket on. But it was not raining and the jacket was too hot, so I carried it for the whole run.
Tuesday, I have a V̇O2 max workout of 6×3:00 @ 105-108% CP/FTP off 2:45. It's a tough workout, especially given that my CP recently increased.
However, I'm running the Chicago Marathon on October 12 and I am thinking of replacing that with the Yasso 800s as a time predictor. That workout is 10×800m @ 102-105% CP off ~3:15 (give or take).
I'm curious how well it'll predict my marathon finish time, so I'm kind of leaning that direction over the V̇O2 max workout.

An alternate to the Yasso 800s is the "Rosario 800s" by NAZ coach Ben Rosario. It's a different spin on the Yasso 800s. It's essentially 4×(800m @ 102-105% CP, 800m @ 95-98% CP), no recovery.
Basically, it's 4 standard Yasso 800m workouts followed by 4 800m floats. That's a beefier workout and honestly scares me.
What would you do?
1. Stick to the plan.
2. Do the Yasso 800s.
3. Do the Rosario 800s.

✨Kullamannen 100 Miles++
I received this update today regarding my Swedish 🇸🇪 trail running adventure. You were right @recollir 😆
So hehe that’s … “interesting”. Yeah Kullamannen by UTMB is indeed unique 🤠
Looks like I might end up running in the soon to be "dark and scary" North this year.
So I'm looking for some lights while out on the trails. I got a random assortments of cycling lights and head torches. And only 5% of my running will be on road, if I'm really unlucky. I have plenty rear lights that I can attach on my person or running west, so that's not a worry. It's more forward, as all my light are either Dyno lights or something you attach to handle bars.
What lights are you using?

I've got a Backyard Ultra coming up this weekend.
My preparations did not go well and I am really unsure what to expect.
60 minutes elliptical
So today could not be running. My knees have had some inflammation going on since the weekend ultra (Mors 100 Miles). Legs otherwise ok. Nothing like muscular breakdown as after mountain ultras. Instead this is different. So I need to recover more before I dare run again 🤠🤣
Next ultra in 10 days or so 🫨
This morning I had a tempo run: 3x14'.
It was hard work, but I am glad I did it. It was difficult to keep my place high enough to keep my HR in the desired tempo zone.
