microhive.social is a Fediverse instance that uses the ActivityPub protocol. In other words, users at this host can communicate with people that use software like Mastodon, Pleroma, Friendica, etc. all around the world.
This server runs the snac software and there is no automatic sign-up process.
Just came back from my long run. It was the first time ever, that I run at night. Started 8pm and came back 11:40pm. Feeling was good. Maybe because of the string coffee before start :)
I also tested 2 gels (high five and powerbar) and one bar (Xenofit). The powerbar gel caused some hickups in the stomach, whereas the Xenofit bar was hard to bite, but felt good once it was "down".

本日は新たなランニングコースを試走いたしました。隅田川沿いのコースは景観も素晴らしく、大変快適なランニングとなりました。
東京足立区千住大橋から月島まで往復いたしました。
Heute habe ich eine neue #Laufstrecke ausprobiert. Die Strecke entlang des Sumida-Flusses ist landschaftlich wunderschön und sehr angenehm zu laufen.
Ich bin von Senjuohashi in Adachi-ku, #Tokio , nach Tsukishima und zurück gelaufen. Das waren genau 25km.
Stairs. With lovely 10-12C and sun. 20 x up and down for 6.8km, EG 738m, 4000steps, 1h23min in total. About 22% incline on average in reality steeper as the stairs are not uninterrupted but have some flat intermediate parts. Anyway, nice to get 1/3 of Niesen done with regards to steps and almost 1/2 with regards to EG.

Today was all about character building. The first 5 km had 200 meters of elevation. The goal was to complete the 10 km in under 60 minutes. So the way back had to be one of those famous canter. It was beautiful. 😅🏃👍 #running #runnersOfMastodon #kenn
Here is my running stress balance while coached. This is found by scoring each run with a stress score, finding a rolling 7-day average ("fatigue"), a rolling 42-day average ("fitness"), and calculating "fatigue minus fitness".
Notice the time spent in the Maintenance band of training versus the time in Productive.
This is frustrating, because hiring a coach is expensive. I want to see progress, but it didn't happen, and I now know why.

I dumped my coach in November, mostly for financial reasons, but also due to the fact that he's anti-data and anti-tech. He's very much a pro-RPE acolyte. It doesn't vibe with my math and data analysis brain.
I'm #running the Chicago Marathon this October and will be following a power-based training plan by Steve Palladino. His plan includes V̇O₂ max workouts, supra-threshold, sub-threshold, HMP, MP, and lots of easy running.
I'm curious to see how my RSB falls out.

10K Morning run | No headlamp👌🏻
Today I plan on two sessions; this morning run. Then an afternoon lower body strength training session.
Home alone with the kids in the afternoon, so the home training is practical (and why I ran this morning instead of the afternoon).
The run; I ran to an average lap power of ~330 watts. Worked ok but not super responsive; so I’ll try the 30s watt window next time. All by my Garmin watch (no Stryd device). Experimenting🙂
From Dec 1, 2022 to Dec 1, 2024 I was coached for attempting a sub-3 hour marathon. My PR up to that point was 3:21:31. However, the best my coach could get out of me during this time was 3:12:09.
As the training was progressing, I was skeptical that he was pushing me as hard as he could. Many of the workouts, while challenging, were achievable.
I tried suggesting adjustments, such as V̇O₂ max workouts and running doubles, but they fell on deaf ears.

🏃 ... und es tut immer noch weh, aber weil ich in der Schublade ein paar Mini-Kitkats gefunden hatte, wollte ich wenigstens ein Drittel davon verbrennen 😅
Mit dem gestrigen Halbmarathon endet meine Phase 1️⃣
Aufbauend auf den vielen positiven Dinge starte ich dann direkt heute die Phase 2️⃣.
In der gibt es folgende Änderungen:
1.) Längere Läufe mit mehr Höhenmeter.
2.) Bei Läufen über 20K etwas festes (Banane?) essen.
3.) Laufen mit Laufweste inkl. Trinkblase (Salomon?), denn der Sommer kommt 🌞
Der Abschluss wäre dann am 17.08.25 beim Sengbach Talsperrenlauf über 30,9K.
Klingt erstmal nach einem chilligen Plan 🤔🙂👍
Königsforst Halbmarathon 2025.
Das war ein super Trainingslauf für den nächsten Marathon. Eine schöne Veranstaltung und heute auch ideale Bedingungen.
Bei schönstem Wetter 🌞 bin ich meinen ersten offiziellen Halbmarathon gelaufen 🏃🏻♂️ der aufgrund seines welligen Terrains eine echte Herausforderung war.
Alles lief dabei (fast) optimal und selbst die Zeit kann sich sehen lassen 👍
Was muss ich verbessern?
Für diese Streckenlänge eigentlich nichts. Sollte es allerdings über den Halbmarathon hinausgehen, muss ich mir Gedanken um die Nahrungsaufnahme während des Laufes machen. Aber das soll kein Thema für heute sein 😊

Lovely weather, a bit too cold at the beginning but under the sunshine everything feels good 🌞
Today I experimented with real food as fuel.
- 200g of roasted potatoes 🥔 ➡️ 34g of carbs, 💶 0,20 €
- 50g of dried apricots 🍑 (rehydrated the night before) ➡️ 31g of carbs, 💶 0,25 €
- half a tab of electrolytes in 250ml of water ➡️ 0 carbs, 💶 0,25 €
Expensive gels are not mandatory

A variation of my HM and 1000m of EG city hill course. I explored some of the larger stairs around some of the city hills and counted steps. 14km, 530m of EG, 2465 steps. And it is nice to know that I have the 3 stairs with the most steps and EG just around my home within 1-5 min. If I do one of them 55 times up and down I get the same amount of stairs and EG as during Niesen Treppenlauf. I should give it a try in May. #trailrunning #running #niesen #treppenlauf

Klappt eigentlich gut 👍 solange ich mich halbwegs drauf konzentriere.
Jetzt ist mir folgendes aufgefallen: Wenn ich mich nicht drauf konzentriere, ändert sich meine Atmung unbewusst auf 3 Schritte Ein- und 2 Schritte Ausatmen.
Scheinbar gefällt das meinem Körper so besser 🤔 und deshalb belasse ich es auch dabei 🙂
