microhive.social is a Fediverse instance that uses the ActivityPub protocol. In other words, users at this host can communicate with people that use software like Mastodon, Pleroma, Friendica, etc. all around the world.
This server runs the snac software and there is no automatic sign-up process.
This year’s running milestones:
I covered a total of 795.4 kilometers, ran my first half marathon in May, and completed my first full marathon in November.
Next year, I’m aiming to run at least 1,000 kilometers and complete at least two marathons.

BTW, I’ve officially completed my personal challenge – closing my Move ring every single day for 365 days in a row!
It wasn’t always easy. Some days were really tough. But I pushed through, and here I am, still going strong and not stopping anytime soon!
@robchapman Besides mapping on water, from that point until the end of the river the route is wrong.
This is the 3rd time that it happens, I believe that something changed in the past 2 weeks, underestimating the distance and the pace.
I am not wearing a smartwatch, as I don't want my heartbeat to be tracked and this kind of data to be collected by private companies.
As for dedicated GPS devices, are they well integrated with #running apps? I never looked into those
@fo @robchapman GPS data was reliable until 2 weeks ago. I am still hoping it's an app issue recently introduced with an update.
#MapMyRun can already allow you to draw maps and load them as #running routes. However the training program I am currently following doesn't set a distance goal for a session, only duration and eventually intervals pace.
So I think I will keep things as they are for the 3 weeks until my training program completes, then decide whether I'll preload routes in the app.

Passing two “new” lakes today. Went onto a different path - in between two other trails I normally use. An area with a couple of north-south ridges and valleys. The lake on the first picture is about 50m below me. What a beautiful technical rock/root covered trail with lots of blueberries to the left and right. Will definitely go back. And there is another path I haven’t done either in all my running years. #trailrunning #running #hiking

Week 20, run 2/3
It was a nice run and I finished it at the weekly local market.
I've been steadily keeping a pace of 6:52 for more than 1h, however the last 15' I explored new and still on progress pedestrian paths that were more like elevated trail paths in their actual state. Anyway I'm thrilled because I will have new routes to test soon 🤩🏃♀️
Again the mapping gives me magical powers I didn't know I had 🧙♀️🌊
I swear I didn't run on water, nor did I fly above the river 😂
I don't know if the app isn't tracking the GPS signal properly anymore or if the #GPS signal quality has degraded (could it mean that we don't use #Starlink anymore ? That would be good news!)

Started today's long run with a slightly different 8km out, then and a familiar 13.1km home.
I went off too quickly, slowed on the trails, then took a tumble at 15, before a turtle-esque trundle home.
This is the 4th time I've run 21.1km, it's also the slowest it's taken me - However; this is my 1st barefoot shoe half, and it has laid down a challenge for me to better for next time..

🏃🏽5K Time Trial
Today I planned a 5K time trial. My objective was to launch an attempt at getting a sub-20 time. Also meaning a PB. And without going all out.
I succeeded in getting my first sub-20 5K time 🥳🕺🏼 and hence a new PB (Garmin registered it as 19:37, Strava as 19:29 🤷🏻♂️). In fact; multiple PBs 👏🏻.
I started too fast though. Struggling with the last 2K. Last was close to “all out” (I was toast). Subject to improvement 😇
7 km waren es, bis mich das Catcher Car einholte. Mein erster richtiger Lauf nach dem Tumor - mit über 310.000 Teilnehmern bin ich den #WingsForLifeWorldRun gelaufen. Und die Startnummer hatte schon die Antwort!

Training at my running club SISU. We did 6 x 600 m (1,5 lap) in the same time, but all of them in a different lane so at a slightly different speed. Then 2x400 steigerung, and as a finish a 100m sprint with a 'false start' (one of us is secretly tapped by the trainer and can start running, she thus had a head start and we all chased after her as soon as we noticed she started running). Running in a group is really fun and motivating.
A little green this time. At 11°C, it's exactly my temperature. 🏃👍🌳
